Calc 3D Pro v.1.9.8

Win95/98/ME/NT/XP
Price: $15
Download (3995Kb)

Calc 3D is a collection of mathematical tools for highschool and university. The calculator can do statistics, best fits, function plotting, integration. It handles vectors, matrices, complex numbers, coordinates, regular polygons and intersections. For objects ( like point, line, plane and sphere) distances and intersections are calculated. Cartesian, spherical and cylindrical coordinates can be transformed into each other.

Level Best: Numbers 1.1

Win95/98/ME/NT/XP
Price: $25
Download (5.25Mb)

Individually paced mental maths practice software. Covers the four basic operations (x+-/) and uses a sophisticated database to track progress and produce graphs and reports. Available in stand-alone home (download version) and school versions, also a fully networked school version. Because it works at the pace of each student, it is equally suited to beginners and experts alike, for ages 6 to 16. For students, Level Best: Numbers is a fun and challenging practice tool - for teachers, it's an assessment and diagnostic tool that does a lot of the administration work as well.

GraphSight v.2.0

Win95/98/ME/NT/XP
Price: $29
Download (741Kb)

GraphSight is a feature-rich comprehensive 2D math graphing utility with easy navigation, perfectly suited for use by high-school an college math students. The program is capable of plotting Cartesian, polar, table defined, as well as specialty graphs. Importantly, it features a simple data and formula input format, making it very practical for solving in-class and homework problems. The program comes with customizable Axis options, too.

BREAKTRU FRACTIONS N DECIMALS v.6.2

Win95/98/ME/NT/XP
Price: $9.95
Download (2167Kb)

Now there are two programs in one. One that can Add, Subtract, Divide and Multiply fractions and another that can convert a decimal to a fraction or a fraction to a decimal. It's a breeze with "Fractions". Quick and easy interface. No confusing menus. Many fraction programs only convert fractions to a decimal. This unique program converts decimals to fractions. Great for school or work. Handy for STOCK quote conversions.

Mathematical Beauty v.1.1

Price: $15.00
Download (415Kb)

Geometric patterns generator based on simple formulas. This program generate geometric patterns based on simple formulas include Mandeltbot set, Hopalong, Koch snowflake, graphtals and other. The software is developed to help in mathematic learning, for web-design and for fun.

CFDLab 2.2

Win95/98/ME/NT/XP
Price: $5.00
Download (4.5MB)

CFDLab is an easy-to-use educational and engineering tool for 2D computational fluid dynamics (CFD). It solves in-/external potential (Laplace) incl. anisotropic, Poisson, diffusion, and convection-diffusion problems for single bounded domains. Data input, processing and data output are organised by a project manager co-operating with linked interactive and interdependent database and graphics components. The five tabs of the main interface highlight the problem-solving steps: input nodes, input parameters, process, output potentials (viewed in 3D graphs), and finally output fluxes (as 2D vector plots). Numerous example projects are included, with documentation and source codes for computing boundary values and benchmarks that allow users to compare the effects of varying boundary conditions, values, scale factors, approximating functions, and different types of governing equations. Data input is realised by working interactively in graphics displays and database grids that keep each other automatically updated when data is changed. Several wizards, e.g. for rectangular and elliptic boundaries, allow to input data by a few mouse clicks. Data output can be viewed by using either ASCII files, database grids, or 3D surface plots for potentials and 2D vector plots for fluxes. Plots can be adjusted as wanted and watched as animations in movie style for time-dependent problems.

Image Plus 1.1

Win95/98/ME/XP
Price: $5.00
Download (5.0)

Educational Tool for Color Theory and Remote Sensing because it computes difference-indexed and color-dropped or -swapped images in one go. It is also an easy-to-use processor for image arithmetics, characteristics (e.g. histograms), and other image operations like black / white, RGB color channels, inverse, filtering, brightness or contrast selections. Image Plus comes with a full range of example images so that a user can easily test the different process types. They include Landsat images (four bands) of London, Paris, Rio de Janeiro and the Rocky Mountains. Image Plus consists of the following process types: * Add [1 + 2], * Subtract [1 - 2], * Multiply [1 * 2], * Divide [1 / 2], * Index [(1-2)/(1+2)]*S; S = a number greater zero, * Scale [1]*S, * Scale [2]*S.

Planet Explorer 1.2

Win95/98/ME/NT/XP
Price: $5.00
Download (4.8MB)

3D Spaceship Simulator/Trainer for 3D thinking. Planet Explorer is a 3D spaceship simulator and trainer for thinking in 3D. It works in two modes: static and dynamic. In dynamic mode the user circulates one of our nine planets on a Kepler ellipse, each planet having a different stationary position. This app shows 3D geometry in action. The simulator interface allows to change all orbit parameter and displays continuously the present position and velocity of the spaceship. In static mode the program uses two other interfaces: a graphics display and an exercise database including numerous self-study topics and exercises. Both interfaces offer an easy, step-by-step, game-like learning framework, where a user is guided from simple to more complex topics, which incorporate fun, game, and self-discovery features. Planet Explorer automatically displays the number of exercises you have done and tried to do, the number of correct answers, as well as your grade, and enables you to create your own topics, exercises, and images as wanted.

Virtual Basketball 1.3

Win95/98/ME/NT/XP
Price: $5.00
Download (950Kb)

True-Motion Basketball Match Simulator. Virtual Basketball is a true-motion match simulator designed for learners with an interest in science/math. It models ball movements under varying physical conditions. Virtual are a team's changing gravity and ball friction caused by e.g. wind. Two teams, Red-City Bulls and Blue-City Lakers, are competing against each other, attacking and defending. The defending team uses the Tab and Arrow keys of the keyboard and changes its gravity vector and ball friction with Arrow LEFT ++40 units, Arrow RIGHT --40 units, Arrow UP ++1 unit, Arrow DOWN --1 unit, resulting in a different ball motion. The attacking team uses the mouse to shoot balls by: 1) pressing the left mouse button on the court marking the position of a player, 2) keeping (!) the button down, moving to another position and releasing it giving the ball's speed and direction. As in reality, the motion and result of each shot are computed according to the laws of gravity and friction, and visually displayed on the computer screen. After one team has scored, its gravity vector and ball friction are randomly changed (or manually by the other team) so that it becomes much harder to score again. This is the easy way to play the game. The difficult way is to allow the defending team to change its gravity and friction values all the time. The statistics of both teams, their number of scores and tries as well as the average distances of all shots are automatically recorded and displayed in another window. The goal of this program is to teach a user to understand better 1) how the motion of a ball depends on its position, direction, speed, and friction, 2) how the laws of gravity and friction (the acting forces) effect the movement of a flying object, 3) how motion and forces are interrelated, and 4) how to predict the motion of an object (see the Appendix in the Help file for further information).
